Honda Activa Crosses Two Crore Sales Mark — First Scooter In India To Achieve Landmark

This, however, isn't a surprise as the Honda Activa has consistently been the top-selling two-wheeler in the country for the past few years. The Honda Activa was first introduced in the Indian market in 2001 and since then has been the leading scooter in the country in terms of sales.

In its debut year itself, the Activa managed to achieve 55,000 sales unit while crossing the 10 lakh sales mark in 2005. Later in 2015, the Honda Activa became the first scooter in the country to cross the 1 crore sales mark while also being recognised as the world's largest selling two-wheeler in 2017.

Honda launched their latest iteration of the scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo, the Activa 5G. The new latest generation Activa comes with LED headlights and a number of other new features.

The Honda Activa continues to be powered by a 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 8bhp and 9Nm of torque. The Activa comes in two variants: Standard and Deluxe.
The standard variant is priced at Rs 55,856 and the DLX comes with a price tag of Rs 55,730. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
