The Yamaha Fascino, as the name implies, is claimed to have a ‘fascinating’ design language as per the Japanese two-wheeler company. The Yamaha Fascino is available in a range of interesting colour choices and has got some unique styling elements. It is also the most affordable product from Yamaha Motor India, after the Ray Z.
There are various chrome details on the body of the Yamaha Fascino, put together in an elegant fashion. The Yamaha Fascino has got swooping lines and the overall design carries a feminine touch. The seats are wide and offer good comfort for the rider and the pillion.
At the rear, the sleek tail lamp and the dropping turn signals further add to the overall elegance. The grab rails are quite large and wide for maximum support and convenience. In total, the Yamaha Fascino is quite a different approach in terms of design, when compared to the other models on the market.
The Yamaha Fascino is powered by a 113cc air-cooled engine that makes 7bhp and 8.1Nm of torque. The engine on the Fascino has also been developed using the brand’s ‘Blue Core’, for a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency.
Riding the Fascino is quite a comfortable experience and the engine feels smooth and refined. Though the Yamaha Fascino is comparatively wide, the scooter is a nimble handler in traffic. The design of the Yamaha Fascino offers good ergonomics while also being good to look at.
The Yamaha Fascino has got only 130mm drum brakes at the front and rear but they offer enough stopping power to confidently ride the scooter. However, disc brakes could have been offered at least as an option. The 90/100 R10 front and rear tyres offer enough grip too.
The Yamaha Fascino offers decent fuel economy for daily commute. The scooter has a claimed mileage figure of 66km/l which is quite adequate considering its output and overall package.
The Yamaha Fascino’s main feature highlight would be the design elements: chrome, curves and modernity. But besides those things, the Fascino also comes with some functional features. The scooter gets a small storage at the front, a 21-litre underseat compartment, a convenience hook and a telescopic front suspension.
The Fascino comes in seven colours: Glamorous Gold, Dapper Blue, Beaming Blue, Dazzling Grey, Sizzling Cyan, Spotlight White and Sassy Cyan.
The Yamaha Fascino is for those who’ve got some sense in fashion and style. The scooter attracts a lot of eyes with its looks and is best-suited for young female riders. The Yamaha Fascino doesn’t offer the most in terms of features but is quite a good buy in the 110cc scooter category.
The Yamaha Fascino is slotted in the 110cc scooter category and rivals the Honda Activa-i, TVS Wego and Hero Maestro Edge
At 128mm, the Yamaha Fascino has got enough ground clearance to have a decent daily commute.
