Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak Launched In India: Ducati has introduced the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak in the country. Ducati has already launched the standard Multistrada 1260 and the 1260 S in India. The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak is priced at Rs 21.42 lakh ex-showroom (India).
The newly launched Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak will be available in limited numbers in the country. But Ducati has not revealed about the number of units allotted for India. The deliveries of the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak will commence from mid-July while the deliveries of the standard Multistrada 1260 and 1260 S have already begun.
The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak draws power from the same 1,262cc, L-twin, DVT Testastretta engine producing 158bhp and 129.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is also equipped with Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) which results in good low-end torque.
Prominent features of the Multistrada 1260 Pike Peak include Ohlins suspension, Termignoni exhaust system, cornering ABS, bi-directional quick-shifter and carbon-fibre parts such as the windscreen, front mudguard and air intake covers.
Ducati also states that the Multistrada 1260 Pike Peak features different chassis dimensions with a new front-end geometry and a longer swingarm. But the specifications of the motorcycle has the same wheelbase, rake and trail as the standard Multistrada 1260.
The Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak features race-inspired livery and it is equipped with lighter forged aluminium wheels. Other features include backlit switches on the handlebar, four riding modes, cruise control, wheelie control and hands-free connectivity.
The bike also gets colour TFT display for the instrument cluster, LED headlight and cornering lights which are only available with the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak and 1260 S.
The Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak is also lighter than the standard 1260 and 1260 S with a kerb weight of 229kg. The Multistrada 1260 and 1260 has a kerb weight of 232kg and 235kg, respectively.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak is the top-spec model in the lineup. The Pikes Peak variant gets premium cycle parts such as Ohlins suspension and other features. The bike is also lighter than the standard models which will improve the performance. The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak rivals the likes of BMW S1000 XR Pro.
