The 2017 Triumph Street Triple launch in India is scheduled for June 12, 2017. We had previously confirmed that the launch of 2017 Street Triple series is set for launch during the same period.
Reports suggest that the Street Triple S will be launched first and the Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS will be launched at a later date.

Triumph has updated the Street Triple series with a revised engine. The new engine features new camshafts, Nikasil plated aluminium barrels and the crankshaft. The company claims only 10 percent of the engine components have been carried over from the previous model.

The bikes continue to utilise the same chassis as the previous generation models; however, it now features new swingarm and new mounting points.

The Street Triple S features Showa suspension, a ride-by-wire throttle, two ride modes, ABS and switchable traction control. The Street Triple S is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakh to 9 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

The braking duties of the Street Triple RS are carried out by Brembo-sourced 310mm discs up front and 220mm disc at the rear.

Powering the 2017 Street Triple series is a new 765cc mill, which is claimed to be lighter by 1.5kg compared to the previous generation.

The engine is available in three states of tunes: 111bhp with 71Nm of torque, 116bhp with 75Nm of torque, and 121bhp with 75Nm of torque for the Street Triple S, Triple R and the Street Triple RS variants respectively. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple will rival the likes of Ducati Monster 821 and the Kawasaki Z900.
