2017 Triumph Street Triple India Launch Details Revealed — Here Are The Details!
The 2017 Triumph Street Triple will be launched in India in June and will be available in 3 versions - S, R and RS.
Triumph Motorcycles India will launch the Street Triple superbikes in India around the period of June-July 2017. The Street Triple S will be the first among the triple to be launched in the country as reported by CarandBike.

The S variant of the Triumph Street Triple is the entry-level version of the naked bike and has power restricted to 111bhp. The R and RS variants of the Street Triple churn out 116bhp and 121bhp respectively.

The new middleweight streetfighter draws power from the new 765cc three-cylinder engine that has been obtained from the Daytona 675 but gets nearly 80 percent of new internals.

The Street Triple RS variant gets the most refined hardware on offer with 41mm Showa front forks and Ohlins mono shock suspension at the rear.

The braking performance of the Street Triple RS comes from the Brembo-sourced 310mm discs up front and 220mm disc at the rear.

On the technological front, the motorcycle is equipped with features such as ride-by-wire, traction control, switchable ABS, programmable riding modes and a full TFT digital instrument console. The new naked bike from Triumph also gets full LED headlamps with integrated DRLs.

The current generation Street Triple was first introduced in 2007 and has sold over 50,000 units globally. In India, the company has sold over 400 Street Triples since its launch in 2013.

As for the pricing, the 2017 Triumph Street Triple comes with a host of upgrades compared to the outgoing model including a bigger engine, which means the bikes will come with a premium price tag.

The current Street Triple model sold in India goes for Rs 7.91 lakh and prices for the Street Triple S are expected to start at Rs 9.5 lakh. The RS variant is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 12.5 lakh. [All prices ex-showroom (Delhi)].

Once launched, the 2017 Triumph Street Triple will compete with Ducati Monster 821 and the upcoming Kawasaki Z900.
