Honda To Introduce New Products To Replace CBR 150R And CBR 250R In India
Honda will launch a new motorcycle in India to replace the CBR 150R and the CBR 250R.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda recently halted the production of its flagship products, the CBR 150R and CBR 250R in India.
Both the motorcycles were pulled out of production as they remained in BS-III specification. Autocar India reports that, instead of simply updating the motorcycles to BS-IV norms, Honda has decided to replace them with new and exciting products.
Both the CBR 150R and the CBR 250R has been in the Indian market for quite some time without any major updates. The only change it received was the new paint scheme. But in the global markets, the CBR 250R was replaced by the new CBR 300R.
Honda is expected to launch one of the new products within the current fiscal year. Previously, Honda MD, Minoru Kato revealed that the company plans to introduce four new products in the country.

Honda has already launched the Africa Twin and the Cliq scooter in India and one of the upcoming products will be based on the scooter platform, which leaves only one more product for this year.
The last product is expected to replace the CBR 250R or the CBR 150R. In the case of former, Honda might introduce the 2017 CBR 250R or the CBR 300R in the Indian market. The CBR 300R makes more sense as the 300cc segment is becoming populated in India.
If Honda plans to replace the smaller CBR 150R, India might get the new 2017 model which is already on sale in the global market. The 2017 iteration of the motorcycle features an all-new design.

Honda has finally revealed some information regarding the new CBR in India. If Honda brings the CBR 300R to the country, it will rival the likes of KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310S. With the Yamaha R15 V3,0 is expected to debut in India, the Honda CBR 150R will be a fitting rival in the 150cc segment.
