Benelli 150cc Motorcycle Patent Design Leaked

Benelli is working on a new 150cc motorcycle and the patent design has been leaked.

Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Benelli is working on a new 150cc motorcycle. MotorcycleMagazine has posted the images of the leaked patent design of the new motorcycle.

The 150cc motorcycle is codenamed as Benelli BJ150-31, where 150 stands for the engine capacity and 31 is the model number. The baby motorcycle from Benelli is intended for the Asian markets.

Previously, Benelli has also patented a faired version of the 150cc motorcycle codenamed as BJ150-30. The new 150cc motorcycle features a sharp and edgy design with a sporty stance.

The motorcycle features a sculpted fuel tank with large shrouds. The radiator sits between the shrouds which hint that the motorcycle will draw power from a liquid-cooled engine. The engine sits on a beam type frame.

Benelli 150cc Motorcycle Patent Design Leaked

The motorcycle is equipped with upside down forks up front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by discs at both the ends. The alloy wheel design is identical to the Benelli TNT 150 retailed in China.

The 150cc bike gets sporty split-seats and tail tidy design at the rear which houses the turn indicators and registration plate. The bifurcated headlamp design is similar to the 2017 KTM Duke 390.

Benelli is planning to tap into the entry-level performance motorcycle segment and has patented the new 150cc motorcycle. In India, the company is also testing two new products in the quarter-litre segment, a cruiser motorcycle and a maxi scooter.
