Kawasaki Z650 Receives Two New Colour Schemes For 2018
Kawasaki is offering two new colours for the 2018 model Z650: Yellow and Dual Tone Black and Green.
2018 Kawasaki Z650 revealed and the middleweight naked sports bike receives two new colours: yellow and dual tone scheme of black and green inspired by its bigger sibling, the Z900.
Launched barely months ago in India, the 2018 Kawasaki Z650 model does not get any mechanical updates. The Z650 is a replacement for the ER-6n and was launched in India at Rs 5.19 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new colours will be available for sale initially in Europe and Japan beginning next month.
With a price tag of Rs 5.19 lakh, Kawasaki was able to position the bike competitively; this was because the Z650 was brought to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit.
The Kawasaki Z650 is powered by the 650cc parallel twin engine seen on the Ninja 650 and the Versys 650. The unit churns out 67bhp, slightly lower the ER-6n, but with a 19kg reduction helps balance the lower power.
The 6-speed gearbox comes with a slipper clutch as standard. The Z650 rides on 41mm telescopic forks in the front and a mono shock with adjustable preload at the rear.
Braking duties are carried out by dual 300mm front brake discs which are paired to dual-piston callipers while a single-piston calliper grips the 220mm rear disc. And ABS comes as standard fitment.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The new 2018 colours of the Kawasaki Z650 are highly unlikely to make it to Indian roads. But it'll be interesting to see a yellow Kawasaki Z650 in India.
