Aprilia To Launch The SR150 Scooter In India On August 22, 2016

Aprilia India has confirmed that the SR150 scooter will be launched on August 22, 2016. At this point, Aprilia India has revealed all details about the SR150. Bookings for Aprilia SR150 has commenced and deliveries are expected to commence soon.

The SR150 scooter from Aprilia is priced attractively at Rs. 65,000 ex-showroom (Pune). This is an introductory offer, as SR150 is the first product to be made in India by Aprilia. On talks with Piaggio Group, they promise that pricing will not defer too much from introductory pricing.

Currently, the Aprilia SR150 can be booked at Vespa dealerships pan India. The SR150 will be introduced in the country in a phased manner. Aprilia will be offering unique test rides to potential buyers post launch of the SR150 in the Indian market.

The Aprilia SR150 is powered by a 154.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine sourced from Vespa. Engineers have tuned and modified the engine to provide the SR150 with a distinctive personality. The engine is tuned to produce 11.3bhp, along with 11.5Nm of torque and adheres to BS4 emission norms.

Stay tuned, as Aprilia has several other products in store post launching the SR150. By 2017, Aprilia India plans on introducing two new scooters in the country. They also plan on exporting the Aprilia SR150 scooter to other potential scooter markets.
