MotoGP Sepang Test Done; Results
MotoGP rules now do not permit unlimited testing and has preset days for teams and manufacturers. This in a way curbs development of bikes and technology, believe teams and riders.
This is the second test week before the are under floodlights in Qatar. The testing was held at Sepang in Malaysia. In a strange turn of events the expected riders were not on top of the list through testing.

On the first day among three allotted, Alvaro Bautista of Go&FUN Honda Gresini posted the fastest time, with Espargaro brothers Aleix and Pol in second and third respectively. Lorenzo and Pedrosa could manage 5th and 6th. While multiple World Champion suffered with rear tyre grip and was 7th fastest.
The Second day returned to normality however, most main runners were still not able to hit consistent lap times. Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda was fastest and Aleix espargaro aboard the NGM Mobile Forward Racing was close in second.
Valentino Rossi with his beloved Yamaha found a better setup and managed fourth place. However, teammate Jorge Lorenzo couldn't find pace and fell down to ninth place. Ducati top rider was Andrea Dovizioso in fifth.

The last day witnessed Valentino Rossi back on top with Dani Pedrosa posting an identical lap time as the Italian. Ducati Andrea Dovizioso was third and was closely followed by Aleix Espargaro. Lorenzo climbed up to seventh position.
Most of the riders weren't bothered with lap times as there was lack of grip due to the slippery asphalt and new Battlax from Bridgestone.
The important thing to watch out is Aleix Espargaro who was consistent on all three days. Could we see a new championship contender in the upcoming season. We will have to wait as there is the Australian test before the Qatar GP.
