Honda Confirm CB300F Production To Commence
Japanese automobile giant Honda is sure to launch the CBR300R in India, which will replace the current CBR250R. Now there are a few patent images of a naked CB300F, that are going around the internet. Honda has confirmed they will commence production of a naked version of the CBR300R.
The news has been confirmed by a document from California Air Resources Board. The document mentions that the CB300F, CBR300RA and CBR300R have been approved for US. The CBR300RA is the model equipped with ABS that was being tested for emission regulations in United States of America.

The CB300F sports a 286cc single cylinder engine and will produce a maximum power of 30.8 PS along with a peak torque of 27 Nm. It will feature Honda's famous fuel injection system, called PGM-FI. The engine is similar to the one in CBR300R and sports a bigger bore on the CBR250R engine, which was a 249cc mill.

Honda's CB300F will be a more street-friendly motorcycle and will be paired to a slick 6-speed manual transmission. The dynamics of the bike will be altered from its sportier version and will be more comfortable with an upright seating position. It will sport disc brakes, however, ABS does not seem to be on offer yet.
The CB300F will be highly influenced by its older sibling the CB500F in terms of design and appearance. The naked street bike will share parts and components with the CB300R. Exhaust, footpegs, seat and mudguard are sure to be shared. Handlebar will be raised and will not sport clip-ons, thus giving it an open chest riding posture.

Honda Motorcycles India is bound to launch the CBR300R in India, which will replace the CBR250R. Since, the CB300F shares parts with the faired version, it is most certain that the Japanese manufacturer will launch the naked street version in India too.
The CB300F is expected to be offered in India by mid-2015. When launched it will compete against Hyosung's GD250N, Kawasaki Z250 and Suzuki Inazuma. The naked street bike will have an advantage over its competitors in terms of pricing. Expect it to be priced close to the CBR300R, when launched.
