Ducati Monster 1200 & 1200 S Arrives In Showrooms
The highly anticipated naked bike from Ducati has finally hit showrooms, however, it will first be available in UK showrooms and will come to Indian shores by late 2014.
The first Monster was unveiled 21 years ago and in 2013 they showcased their Monster 1200 and 1200 S model at the EICMA auto show. This new naked sports bike uses a 1198 Testastretta 11° DS engine.
The Italian's have given this Monster a new chassis geometry along with more masculine and sculpted design. It will come equipped with premium and state of the art Ducati technology.
There are two options the first being a Standard Monster 1200, red color, it will cost 10,696 Pounds in UK, which translates to 10,884,65 Rupees in India.

The second option is a more powerful Monster 1200 S, it will be offered in both red as well as white paint scheme. It will cost 12,995 Pounds and when converted to Indian Rupees it stands at INR 13,224,20.
Ducati will also be offering its special TriOptions finance scheme for those who want to ride the bike as soon as possible and can't wait to save money to buy it.
Both Monster 1200 and 1200 S will sport the same Testastretta 11 degree L-twin liquid cooled engine. The Monster 1200 generates 118 Nm of torque along with 135 hp of power from the 1198.4 cc mill.
The Monster 1200 S uses same 1198.4cc engine, however, it produces an additional 145 hp of power and 125.4 Nm of peak torque. Apart from power outputs both these bikes are identical.
