Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS To Sport Fuel Injection
Bajaj launched their 200 NS in most markets with a carburetor however, with new emission standards there is a need for fuel injection. The fuel injected engine will run more efficiently as well as be low on CO2 emissions.
The bike will be launched in Indonesia first as Bajaj sell their Pulsar 200 NS under Kawasaki badging.
The Pulsar 200 NS is the only bike that does not offer fuel injection in the 200cc segment. The motorcycle will sport an FI badge in the coming future and will surely surge sales.
The Indian manufacturer currently provides the Pulsar 200 NS with a single-cylinder 200cc mill. It featured Bajaj's revolutionary triple-spark technology. However, it had a carburetor that provided fuel to the engine. It generated 23.5 horsepower along with 18.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and was an instant hit with Bajaj loyalists.
The fuel injected system is sure to increase the fuel efficiency over the carbureted engine. Bajaj will surely increase the price of their Pulsar 200 NS by a few thousands, however, the addition of fuel injection will surely be a blessing.

We had earlier reported that Bosch is developing an affordable fuel injector system for two wheelers, that could easily replace an existing carburetor system. It would be great news if Bajaj would get the German manufacturer to work with them.
The last Pulsar that offered fuel injection was their 220 FI model, which was available as an option. However, back then the fuel injection system was expensive and increased the cost of the bike significantly and buyers opted for the more affordable carbureted engine.
