KTM Fastest Growing Motorcycle Company In The U.S

By Ganesh

KTM became Europe's largest motorcycle company this year, beating a giant like BMW Motorrad, which now holds second place. The Austrian company has now set its eyes on the United States, where, it claims, it is the fastest growing motorcycle company right now.

According to KTM, it registered a growth of 49 percent in the U.S in November 2013 compared to November of 2012. And growth in year-to-date sales is reportedly up by 29.8 percent, which makes it the fastest growing two wheeler manufacturer in the States in 2013.

"Credit for this amazing performance is due to the excellent new product we have brought to market and to the increased effort for KTM by our dealer network," said Brad Hagi Vice President of Sales and Marketing for KTM North America.

At this pace KTM's growth the U.S would only improve taking into consideration the newly introduced models, 1290 Super Duke R and the new 1190 Adventure. If KTM decides to launch the RC390 & RC200 they are likely to give a further shot in the arm since this segment is on the rise in the States.

"For the past 3 years our dealers have risen to every opportunity we have put before them-SXS Mini's, SX Factory Editions, ISDE Bikes, 990 Adventure Baja Editions, 690 Dukes-and customers have responded well. I can't wait to see how our dealers perform with the new 1190 Adventure models and the 1290 Super Duke R. To every KTM dealer and their staff - you have my personal thanks for your dedication, energy and effort in making KTM the fastest growing brand in 2013."
