TVS April Sales Increase 7%
The company's total sales including exports in April stood at 174,455 units against 167,744 units in April 2011 registering a growth of 4 percent. TVS was pushed to 4th position in the country recently by Honda Motors to be the third largest motorcycle manufacturer after Honda Motocorp and Bajaj Auto.
The company's scooter sales stood at 35,833 units, up 2 percent, as against 35,074 units in the same month last year. Motorcycle sales accounted for 67,966 units as against 69,573 units in April 2011.
Meanwhile, this week, the company had launched its facelifted flagship model , the TVS Apache RTR. The Apache model had been aging and needed a fecelift badly for quite a while now.
