Suzuki Motorcycle Sales Climbs 46%

Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL), the two-wheeler maker has reported its sales in July rose by a whopping 46.16 per cent. The Japanese company said it sold 27,088 units in July as against the 18,533 units sold in July 2010.

In a statement SMIPL Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said: “We have received a very good response from the market to all our products. The growing customer satisfaction among present owners of Suzuki products has led to a positive word-of-mouth in the market."

Suzuki Motorcycle sales as well as scooter sales have seen an upswing in the recent past. The two-wheeler manufacturer had reported a 42 per cent increase in its sales in June. Suzuki currently builds the Slingshot and GS 150R motorcycles along with the Access Scooter in India. It imports the Hayabusa, intruder, Bandit and GSX motorcycles from Japan.
