Bajaj, Suzuki Post Positive August Sales Reports

Bajaj's motorcycle sales increased by 17 per cent to 3,38,054 units from the previous August's sales of 2,89,176 units. Bajaj's commercial vehicle sales also showed clear signs of improvement. The company sold 44,685 units this August prom the 40,188 units in the corresponding period last year.
Bajaj Auto;s exports rose a whopping 40 per cent to 138,225 units from 98,578 units in August 2010. The company exports its Pulsar sports bike and the Discover city bike to several Asian and African countries.
Suzuki Motorcycles has posted a 39.12 per cent growth in its sales for August 2011. The Japanese two wheeler manufacturer sold 26,897 units this august eclipsing the 19,334 units it had sold in August 2010.
In a statement Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL)'s Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said: “We have received very good response from the market to all our products. The growing customer satisfaction among present owners of Suzuki products has led to a positive word-of-mouth in the market."
Suzuki currently sells the Access scooter, Sling Shot, Zeus and GS150 motorcycles.
