Swiss Students Create Worlds Fastest Accelerating Car

The future of cars is slowly but surely moving towards electric cars. However, a team of 30 students from two universities: ETH Zurich and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts have a dream of a much faster future.

The team who were working together under the banner of Academic Motorsports Club Zurich (AMZ) have created an electric race car that accelerates faster than any production car in the world.

The electric single-seat racer can sprint from 0-100km/h in under 100 feet in just 1.513 seconds. And yeah, that's not a typo.
