This 720S Inspired Lego Speed Champion Is The McLaren We Can All Afford

The Lego McLaren 720S set was developed alongside the original car; the new Lego set will be joining the likes of the Ford GT, and Bugatti Chiron.

The Lego McLaren 720S set comprises a car designer mini figure and a design desk for sketching out the cars of the future.

Following the initial reveal on the LEGO Group's Facebook page, Drive Tribe shared images of the new set. The article tells a little about Craig Callum, Head of Design on Speed Champions.

Craig Callum started working with McLaren quite some months before the 720S was even being teased but acknowledged that the new Super Series car was quite a complex one to recreate in small plastic bricks.

However, the distinctive socket headlights and the very spacious cockpit of the McLaren 720S are clear to notice in the final model. The stickers also help differentiate the original twin skin doors and a rear diffuser under the car.
