Tesla Beware: iPhone Hacker Geohot Builds Self Driving Car - Video

George Hotz, the iphone jailbraking pioneer known online as 'gehot' has built his own self driving car in just a month in his garage. Hotz fitted a 2016 Acura ILX with a laser-based radar (lidar) system on the roof and a camera mounted near the rear view mirror along with a ton load of electronics fitted where the glove compartment usually would rest. He has also attached a 21-inch touchscreen through which he communicates with the operating system (a linux distribution called ubuntu) and a joystick to control the autopilot system.

Tesla seems to be watching the new Hotz creation but don't seem to be worried.
