Elon Musk Sticks A Tesla In His Boring Tunnels — Proof Of Concept For Pipe Dream?
Elon Musk has just put his flagship car in one his underground tunnels.
Elon Musk goal of building tunnels and transporting vehicles at high speed through them to avoid traffic jams may seem like a pipe dream to many but the EV and rocket man and his tunneling company named the Boring Company, have started digging tunnels under the city of Los Angeles.
Now, in an image posted on Instagram, Musk has shown the first ever car to enter one of his tunnels under the City of Angels and unsurprisingly it is a Tesla, a Model S to be precise.
Now a single car inside the tunnel is just the beginning of Musk's solution to the urban nightmares that are known as traffic jams. He still has a long way to go including getting functional car elevators and high-speed transport sleds ready, but it does provide a proof of concept for that his tunnel system can work.
DriveSpark Thinks!
Elon Musk's Boring Company came about as a solution to the parking nightmares in his SpaceX facility. Now that he's shown a Tesla Model S can fit into one of his tunnels, we hope he gets the rest of the setup ready. Every major city in the world would want the system in place, especially those here in India, where every inch of the road seems to be packed with vehicles.
