Drones Used In Different Cities To Disinfect Coronavirus Across India
Drones are being used in different cities to disinfect Coronavirus across India. The Covid-19 pandemic is pushing the Government bodies to take extreme measures to stop spreading of the deadly virus.
The Karnataka Government has decided to deploy drones in Bengaluru district to sanitize the streets in most areas. The disinfectants will be sprayed using drones to sanitise public spaces to sanitize the area faster and safer.
Commissioner B.H. Anil Kumar in a recent tweet, said, "Disinfectants will be sprayed using drones to sanitise public spaces. Mechanical sweepers to be deployed for intensive cleaning. Jetting machines from BBMP will be employed in this exercise."
The Drone used by the government will be powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. It features six propellers, and a storage tank to hold 15-litres of disinfectant liquid. The drone sprays through six nozzles under the propellers and can reach small places with ease.
The flight times of the drones are rated at 20 minutes on a single charge. However, with powerful electric motors, onboard the drone can cover an area of three acres on a single battery charge.
With the danger of the virus spreading at a rapid rate, using a drone to reduce any human contact is a good move. Also, the process is expected to be quick and efficient as compared to a man or vehicle.
More states in India are gearing up to contain the Coronavirus from spreading. We have reports of similar technology being used in Pune and Chennai to tackle the situation and reduce any human contact in disinfecting the areas.
Apart from drones, globally several technologies are being used to tackle the current Coronavirus crisis. A few hospitals have deployed robots with artificial intelligence to deliver food and medication to patients to ensure zero human contact and help prevent the spread.
The Covid-19 outbreak has seriously affected the Auto Industries globally. Most manufacturers have announced a temporary suspension of their operations until further notice. However, some major auto manufacturers have offered the government to produce necessary medical equipment needed to tackle the current pandemic — here are more details.
Thoughts About The Drones Used In Different Cities To Disinfect Coronavirus Across India
India is deploying all possible actions to contain the virus from spreading further. While the cases in the country steadily keep rising, the government is looking for safe options for keeping the streets of the country disinfected. This is an amazing use of drone technology till date as it is an unmanned aerial vehicle, and can easily manoeuvre to places that normally would take a lot of effort to reach. DriveSpark urges people to stay at home quarantined and help fight this deadly virus.
