McLaren P1: Images, Performance Figures And Price
McLaren has come out with the images of the production version of McLaren P1 hypercar, as well as the exciting performance details ahead of its public reveal at the Geneva Motor Show during the first week of March.
Earlier this month the automaker had released details about the car's powerplant and the powertrain. McLaren P1 is a hybrid supercar that employs Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) to deliver instant power from its electric motor and Formula 1 inspired Drag Reduction System. Below are the latest details about the P1.

Performance
0-100km/h (62 mph): Less than 3 seconds
0-200km/h (124 mph): Less than 7 seconds
0-300km/h (186 mph): 17 seconds (11 seconds faster than its predecessor, McLaren F1)
Top Speed: Electronically limited to 350km/h (218 mph)

Zero emission supercar
The P1 can travel 20 kms at an average speed of 30 mph (48km/h) in electric mode during which emission is zero.

True to the concept
The only visible change from concept version to production version are the LTR air ducts ahead of each of the front wheels, which provide extra cooling and improve downforce.

Special tyres
McLaren's technology partner Pirelli has specifically developed P Zero Corsas tyres for the P1, which are optimized for both track and road use.

Braking system
Akebono, another of McLaren's partner, this time from Formula 1, has developed a new type of carbon ceramic discs for the P1. The material used cools faster than regular carbon ceramic discs and is also lighter.

Exclusivity
As is customary, only a limited number of McLaren P1 will be produced - 375 units. Customers can further personalize their P1 through McLaren Special Operations to add bespoke items.

Price
McLaren P1 hypercar has a base price tag of $1,150,000, in the United States.
