Koenigsegg To Build Entry Level Car
The Swedish automaker Koenigsegg, known for its Agera range of hypercars, is a boutique company like Pagani, that builds cars in extremely small numbers. Koenigseggs are rarer than any Ferrari or Lamborghini and cater to a small crowd within the already niche category of buyers.
If a new report on Australia's Motoring is to be believed, Koenigsegg is ready to make a move to become a mainstream supercar manufacturer. Speaking with Motoring during the recently held 2014 New York Auto Show, Koenigsegg CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg has revealed that next in line is an entry level model.

What he means is a supercar that will sit below the Agera series, but "entry level" here here is relative term because this car will reportedly be priced between $600,000 and $700,000.
That's still roughly half of what the Agera costs, price for which ranges from $1.3 million for the base variant to $1.6 million for the Agera R. And the six people in the world who have placed orders for the limited edition One:1 will be shelling out $2.85 million.

The entry level Koenigsegg will still be exclusive and not to mention, powerful. Do not expect the horsepower to reach the 1000 horsepower figures though. It would probably be in the range of 700 HP. It is also very likely that the new entry-level car would be a hybrid.
Koenigsegg's largest market is China, but the company is also looking to build its business in North America (its second largest market) and its presence at the New York Auto Show was an indication of this.
