The Project 7, which is actually a roofless vehicle, will get a roof as the engineers are working on the design. It will mostly be made of tensioned fabric, to keep the occupants dry. They are currently working on a few designs that would suit the car best.
Jaguar has hinted that when the roof is up, the car will be electronically restricted to 120 mph. This could be a safety feature because one would want the roof up mostly during rain and going fast on wet roads may not really be a good idea.
For the disappointed customers who can't get their hands on the Project 7, Jaguar has assured them saying they are coming up with more "Projects" very soon.
