Honda Cars India Sales Report For April 2014
Honda Cars India has continued its good performance in a tough market with a growth of 30 percent during the previous month of April, 2014. The company managed to sell 11,040 cars during the month, most of which were the Honda City and Honda Amaze models. In comparison, Honda had only sold 8,488 cars during the corresponding month last year.

Expressing delight on the company's performance "Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President - Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "We have started the financial year 2014-15 on a positive note and would like thank our customers for the fantastic response to the all-new Honda City. We also celebrated the first anniversary of Honda Amaze by introducing the anniversary edition and we are confident of its good sales in this fiscal as well."
The company also exported 402 units during April, which once again mostly consisted of the Amaze and City models.

The best performing model for Honda during April was the City, with 7,044 units sold, followed by Amaze (3,355), Brio (578) and CR-V (63). Total number of cars sold during the month of April was 11,442 units.
During a discussion with the media in Bangalore, Mr. Sen also said that the company would increase its touch points by 35 percent. The company plans to increase the number of dealerships in the country from the present 172 to 230, across 150 cities. Most of these will come up i tier-III cities.
