Honda Cars India Sales Increase By 88% In August, 2014
Japanese automobile manufacture Honda Cars India Ltd. has registered a domestic sale growth of 88%. The premium car manufacturer has managed to sell 16,758 vehicles in August, 2014. They have recorded a phenomenal growth and have sold 8,913 more vehicles compared to August, 2013.
The major contributors for their growth are their new vehicles Mobilio and Amaze. Honda also sells the Brio, CR-V and City in India. They had earlier suspended the manufacturer of their City sedan temporarily. However, Honda has confirmed production will resume by 1st week of September, 2014.
Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. explained, "We are extremely happy to witness consistent growth for Honda cars month after month. The festive season has already set-in and will bring further cheer to the market. We are geared up for strong sales in coming months."

Between April to August of 2014 Honda reported selling 73,185 vehicles. While during the same months in 2013 the Japanese manufacturer managed to sell 49,263 vehicles. This is an increase of 49 percent and is excellent figures for the manufacturer.
Honda also exported a decent number of vehicles from India. During August, 2014 the japanese manufacturer exported 460 vehicles. They would like to improve their export numbers. Their facility has been shut down for maintenance and could have affected export numbers.

The Japanese manufacturer will commence the production of its popular sedan 'City'. The vehicle will now be manufactured at their Tapukara facility in Rajasthan. Honda had earlier announced it had achieved a milestone by selling one lakh Amaze as well as diesel engines in India alone.
