Fiat To Launch Seven New Alfa Romeo Cars By 2018
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) which has been trying to review the fortunes of its luxury brand Alfa Romeo for a long time, has reportedly decided to go full throttle in the coming years.
According to Germany's Auto Bild magazine the automaker plans to launch seven new Alfa branded cars over the next four years.

Fiat, which recently announced that it will start selling the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car in the U.S. through selected Fiat dealerships, is planning to increase its sales by fivefold. From 100,000 units annually to 5,00,000 vehicles.

To help it achieve those numbers Fiat has big plans for the luxury brand Alfa Romeo that includes reviving old nameplates as well as diversifying into newer segments.

The models that we'll see come back to existence are the Giulia and the Alfetta. These models will be offered in different versions, including a convertible (in 2016), sedan (in 2017) and station wagon (in 2018).

Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan will be a BMW 3-series competitor, while the Alfetta sedan will be placed higher up, to take on the BMW 5-series.

Besides bringing back the old name plates Fiat also intends launch two all new ones, which will be a compact and a full sized crossover models, scheduled for 2017 & 2018 respectively.
As for the current Alfa Romeo models, the MiTo and Giulietta hatchbacks, they will continue to be sold, though they are likely to get significant upgrades, both visual and mechanical, to make them more attractive.
