Arash AF8 may not be as good looking as a Ferrari 458, but performance wise the company has left no stone unturned to make its latest sportscar a very capable machine, as you'll see.

Arash AF8 gets its power from a 7.0 liter V8 engine from Chevrolet that generates 550 HP and 640 Nm of torque.

Claimed acceleration time to 96 km/h and top speed is 3.5 seconds and 320 km/h respectively. A regular six-speed manual transmission is bolted to the engine. There's also a five-way traction control to manage power delivery.

Braking power comes from six piston calipers biting into 380mm floating ventilated steel discs at the front and four piston calipers gripping 362mm discs at the rear.

The chassis is made from different materials ranging from high-strength steel to aluminum and carbon fiber. Meanwhile, the entire body is built from carbon fiber.

As a result, the car tips the scales at just 1,200 kg which actually makes it 195kg lighter than high performance Ferrari 458 Speciale.

The cabin provides all the luxury associated with a car from this segment and that includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, a heated windscreen, air conditioning, all covered in leather. There's also carbon fiber trims in several places.

The forged aluminium wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 20 inches in the rear and are covered in Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires. Bi-Xenon headlights upfront and LED rear lights complete the look.

Arash will build 36 'First Edition' cars that will sell for £165,000 (INR 1.7 crore) each.
