Nissan 370Z Power, Performance Guaranteed
Although the car we were driving was a 370Z At, we could still shift gears manually using the paddles just behind the steering. The steering also has other controls such as audio controls along with cruise control.
The 370Z's 3.7-litre petrol engine sprang up to life when I pressed the start button. Even a slightest push on the throttle would result in an immediate response. The experience of being pushed back on to the seat even as you speed up over 100kmph is something that will be scary for the faint-hearted. The speedometer has a top speed of 280kmph and the Nissan 370Z has every capacity to reach this figure. I wanted to test this but stopped myself.
Here is some information that will interest the ones who like numbers. The Nissan 370Z is powered by a 3696cc engine that can deliver 332bhp and 363Nm of torque. Such power can take the car to breath taking speeds. But you also need some stopping power too. The Nissan 370Z is equipped with large ventilated disk brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Nissan has also added power assisted 4-wheel Anti-Lock Braking System to ensure a safe ride.
The track we had to drive was only 20 kilometres. I hit the dead end before even I realized where I was. I slowed down and started t take the U turn back to the starting point. There was very little body role when turning. The suspension is quite hard and can hit you if you take on some rough surface. I missed a small road hump and thanked my stars as if I had hit it at the speed I was going, there would be little doubt of me having a sour back for a day.
I spent the final moments in the Nissan 370 Z enjoying its melodious engine noise, beautifully done up interiors and the oodles of power you will never get to enjoy in your every day car. Getting out of the Nissan was a little tough, firstly as I loved the car so much and secondly for its low ground clearance. I came out of the car half heartedly but the experience of the Nissan 370 z will stay on.
