When We Test drove The Nissan 370Z
I would not be lying when I say I was in cloud nine when I was informed I could test drive the Nissan 370Z in a few days. Although, there were quite a number of procedures to be followed and preparations to be made before I could actually get out of the office for the test drive, my mind was already racing. The simple fact that I could drive a car with a top speed of 280kmph was enough to do that.
The D day started rather early with Nissan inviting us for breakfast at a resort in the outskirts of Bangalore before the test drive. My team reached the venue and before we could park our vehicle we were welcomed by gleaming red beauty at the parking lot.
Nissan had kept the car ready for us and we were inching to get inside it. But we had to take care of our rumbling tummies before we could let ourselves fly in the 370Z. We also had an opportunity to interact with other auto journalists who were as keen as us to see how the 370Z would fare. Every one among us only had the technical specifications of the 370z in our mind but had not experienced it firsthand.
The location chosen for the 370Z's test drive was a long stretch on empty tarmac on Bangalore's Nice road. The road had a dead end on one end which meant there would not be much traffic to worry about. Also we could test the Nissan to its fullest potential.
