Google Reveals Top Searched New Cars Of India
Google is probably the first place people go online to know more about new cars. The search engine has commissioned AC Neilsen to understand how people are searching for recently launched new cars in India and has now come out with a report. The report is a clear indicator of how popular the new cars launched in 2011 are in the country.
According to Google's report on highest searched new cars, the number of people searching for sport utility vehicles (SUV) has increased the most. Among the active internet users of the country, SUVs are the most searched cars followed by premium cars. Sedans have got the third place followed by luxury cars in fourth. Hatchbacks, India's highest selling cars have managed to get fifth place in the list.

Coming to the model wise list of the most searched new cars in Google, the Hyundai Eon gets the top spot. The Eon is perhaps the most-searched car in Google as it was pipped to compete against India highest selling car, the Maruti Suzuki Alto. Priced between Rs.2.74 lakhs and 3.8 lakhs, the Hyundai Eon has become Hyundai's second highest selling car. The Eon's has had a brilliant run the car market so far.
The second most searched car in Google is Mahindra flagship model, the XUV 500. The XUV 500 has carried forward the hype that surrounded it before its launch. The XUV 500 has been nothing short of breathtaking for SUV Lovers in India. Mahindra has been able to sell three months worth of production within ten days of opening bookings. The XUV is priced between Rs.11 lakhs and Rs.14.1 lakhs in India. The XUV's stunning looks and long feature list couple with its low price made it a very attractive choice for buyers.
Another car that has made it to the top three of the highest searched new cars is the Honda Brio. The Brio is Honda's latest entry level model and was launched late last year. It is currently available with a starting price of Rs.3.99 lakhs making it the cheapest Honda car sold ever in India.
