Maruti Ertiga Will Be April's Biggest Launch

The Ertiga which Maruti calls as a Life Utility Vehicle (LUV) is the first car of its kind from the Indian auto major. The new MPV will be ideal for those who are looking to upgrade their car to a more spacious vehicle that could be taken for daily use. The Ertiga is a 7-seater MPV which is expected to be priced in the range of 7-9 lakhs. The MPV will be available in six variants with both petrol and diesel engines.
Coming to the Ertiga's design, the MPV is neatly styled with a car-like design. The interior also gets a classy look with brown and beige finish giving the MPV a spacious feel. The second row gets a 60:40 split and plenty of storage spaces add to the practicality of the car. However, the third row seats do not appear roomy enough for long journeys.
The Ertiga comes with 2 engine options, the new K14B petrol with variable valve timing – a 1.4-litre producing 95PS of maximum power at 6000rpm and 130Nm of maximum torque at 4000rpm and the trusted diesel from the SX4, 1.3-litre DDiS with VGT which produces 90PS of maximum power at 4000rpm and 200Nm of maximum torque at 1750rpm. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
