Nissan Sales Up 187% Thanks To Sunny

Nissan Motors has sold 3,467 cars in April 2012 as against the 1207 cars it sold in April 2011. Nissan has sold 1,435 Micra hatchbacks, marking a 19% increase in sales. However the Sunny with 2,012 unit sales has become Nissan's best seller. This is not the first time the Sunny has outgunned the Micra. The Sunny has outsold the Micra consistently since the past three months.
Nissan Motors has so far sold more than 16,000 Sunny's since its launch in August last year. The Sunny got a much needed impetus when its diesel variant was launched. Expressing happiness about Nisan's April sales, the company's MD Ishida Takayuki said: “Our sales in April have been very impressive and reflect customer trust and confidence in our products. The Nissan Sunny has received an overwhelming response from the market and we are confident that we will continue to excel this year and propel growth for all our products."
Nissan Motors has shown tremendous growth in recent months and it intends to continue it in the coming months too. It intends to gain rapid sales growth by aggressive marketing as well as opening more showrooms across the country. It is also planning to launch new models that will widen its model line-up as well as improve its brand visibility.
Nissan Motors India currently sells the Sunny sedan, Micra hatchback, 370 Z sports car, Teana premium sedan as well as the X-Trail SUV.
