BMW Mini And Mercedes B-Class In Auto Expo

Another high profile debutant at the 11th Auto Expo is the BMW Mini. The iconic British small car brand will be launched in India In january and you will be able to see all the three modsels that will be sold. The Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper Convertible and the Mini Countryman are the three models to be sold in India.

The Mini will be sold as a premium hatchbacks and is expected to be priced above Rs.25 lakhs. It will be available with both petrol and diesel engines p[aired with an automatic transmission. The iconic status of the Mini will be its main selling point but its high price will be a major dampener.

The Mini will be competing against other niche models such as the Volkswagen Beetle, Fiat 500 and the soon to be launched Mercedes-Benz B-Class.

Another premium hatchback to be launched during the Delhi Auto Expo will be the Mercedes-Benz B-Class hatchback. The B-Class is expected to be slightly cheaper than the Mini and will be priced between RS.20 lakhs and Rs25 lakhs. The B-Class will offer buyers a cheaper opportunity to own a Mercedes-Benz.

Like all new models being launched in India, The B-Class will also have petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine can develop 156bhp while the diesel engine will generate 135bhp. The B-Class will be competing with the Mini as well as the Beetle and Fiat 500.
