The TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS borrows its design cues from its younger sibling, the Apache RTR 160. The motorcycle features aggressive front end with LED DRLs. The sharply designed fuel tank with extended cowls results in better air airflow to the engine and enhances the sporty appeal of the Apache RTR 180 ABS.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS also features aerodynamically designed engine cowl which adds to the styling of the motorcycle. The decals are simple and neatly laid out. The tail section sports LED tail lamp and muscular cowl with tri-coloured race insignia.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 17bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque output of 15.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
The engine delivers a punchy performance and has an excellent top end due to its high-end torque. The Apache RTR 180 ABS can reach a top speed of 124km/h. The engine is good for city commuting as well as long rides with its powerful midrange and top end.
The Apache RTR 180 returns a decent fuel economy of 40kmpl when revved hard. On the highway, the motorcycle delivers a mileage of around 48kmpl which gives an average figure of 45kmpl.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 features switchable dual-channel ABS with RLP (Rear Wheel Lift-off Protection), which is first in its segment. Apart from that, the motorcycle gets a sculpted tank which makes it easier for the rider to tuck the knees. The engine sits on Double Cradle SynchroSTIFF chassis which aids in superior handling.
Other features include digital instrument cluster and analog tachometer, beast-inspired headlamp, adjustable clip-on handlebars and LED tail lamp.
The motorcycle is equipped with 270mm petal disc brake up front and 200mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The telescopic front forks and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shox (MIG) offers a right mix of comfort and stability. The motorcycle also gets tubeless tyres.
