The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is a motorcycle which transformed the entry-level performance motorcycle segment in India. The motorcycle is aggressively designed with the signature wolf-eyed headlamp and the muscular fuel tank with shrouds. The 3D Pulsar logo on the tank gives the motorcycle a premium touch.
The tail section of the Pulsar 150 is sharp and edgy and the twin LED strip tail light gives the motorcycle a unique look. The exciting body graphics, blacked out engine and exhaust with chrome cover further enhance the appeal of the Pulsar 150.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, twin spark engine with a maximum power output of 14bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque output of 13.4Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The engine features Bajaj’s DTS-i technology which delivers improved performance. The acceleration is brisk and linear. The motorcycle can sprint from 0-60km/h in just 5.6 seconds and can reach a top-speed of 111km/h. The handling is excellent around corners and inspires confidence for spirited riding.
The 149cc DTS-i engine is tuned to offer performance and good fuel efficiency. The twin sparks ensure a complete combustion which improves the mileage. The Pulsar 150 returns an excellent average mileage of 65kpl.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is loaded with a host of features. The motorcycle is equipped with wolf-eyed pilot lamps, smoked windscreen, digital-analog instrument cluster, carbon fibre texture on the instrument cluster and clip-on handlebars. The rear end features the signature LED tail lamp.
The braking duties are handled by 240mm disc up front and 130mm drum brake setup at the rear. The suspension setup features telescopic forks at the front and 5-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. The Pulsar 150 gets a 15-litre fuel tank which gives it a good range on long rides. The motorcycle gets tubeless tyres. The single piece seat offers a comfortable ride for both rider and pillion.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is one of the best performance motorcycles in the 150cc segment. The sporty styling and reliable engine are the prominent highlights of the motorcycle. Although the styling looks like dated, the overall package is quite impressive for the affordable price tag. Bajaj has been retailing the Pulsar 150 since a decade which reflects the success of the motorcycle in the Indian market.
