Ducati Premieres 2016 Panigale 959 At EICMA — Images
Ducati launches the 2016 Panigale 959 at EICMA 2015. Designers and engineers have focused on finding a perfect balance between street and track dynamics for the 2016 model. The 959 Panigale will be slotted between the 899 Panigale and 1299 Panigale.
Powering the new Ducati 959 Panigale is a 955cc, Superquadro, L-twin cylinder with liquid-cooling. The engine delivers a phenomenal performance of 154.88bhp and 107.4Nm of peak torque. Ducati engineers have mated the engine to a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift.
The 959 Panigale is built around Ducati's monocoque aluminium frame. Front suspension comes from Showa while the rear gets a Sachs unit, both of which are fully adjustable. The kerb weight of Ducati's 959 Panigale is 195 kilogrammes, which is light for a litre-class motorcycle.

Ducati will be equipping the 959 Panigale with several standard features. They include power modes, riding modes, steering damper, DDA+ Ready, Fully RbW, ABS, DTC, DQS, and EBC.
Front and rear wheel get 10-spoke light alloy 17-inch wheels. The 959 Panigale will ride on Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres. Braking force comes from a monobloc calliper in the front and rear, with ABS developed by Bosch.
Regarding design, the Panigale 959 does not deviate too much from the other two superbikes in their portfolio. Ducati designers have focused on making the bike as aerodynamic as possible and have worked on maintaining excellent dynamics for both track usage as well as everyday street use.
