Toyota Vios Sedan Could Be Showcased At 2016 Auto Expo

Toyota Motors India is getting ready for the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. There is a high possibility that the Japanese car manufacturer could showcase the Vios sedan. Several other new and exciting products by Toyota will also be making its debut at the motor show.

The Vios sedan will be slotted in the c-segment by Toyota once launched in the Indian market. The Vios will fill in the gap left by Corolla Altis and Etios models sold in the country. New Vios could be making its Indian debut in 2016 while its launch could be slated for early 2017.

Under the hood of the Toyota Vios, will be an all-new petrol and diesel engine option. The 1.4-litre diesel engine is expected to produce 87.2bhp and 205 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre petrol engine will develop 107bhp and 141 Nm of torque. Both engines will be offered with manual and automatic transmissions.

Several premium features will be provided to the Toyota Vios sedan. Leather upholstery, touchscreen infotainment, engine start/stop, and auto climate control. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and dual front airbags are likely to be standard safety equipment in the vehicle.

The Vios by Toyota will compete with the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the Hyundai Verna in the Indian market. Expect pricing to be on par with Vios competitors in the country. Stay tuned for more updates as they could be revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
