Dubai Adds Porsche 918 Spyder To Supecar Cop Squad
The Dubai police have added yet another exotic hypercar into their rather speedy supercar squad of cop cars. The Porsche 918 Spyder is the second hybrid to enter this rather exotic after the BMW i8 sports car.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 along with two electric motors, the 918 Spyder produces an impressive 874bhp and 1280Nm of torque. 0 – 100km/h takes 2.5 seconds, 0 – 200km/h is reached in 7.2 seconds, and 300 kilometres per hour takes 19.9 seconds from standstill. The top speed is 351km/h.
Like the other exotics in the Dubai Police Fleet, inclusive of the Bugatti Veyron, multiple Ferraris and Lamborghinis and a few more envy enticing cars, the 918 Spyder will be used more for promotional purposes.
Just a word of advice though, if you do see one in your rear view mirrors with the lights flashing, pull over. You won't be able to escape this one.
