2015 Nissan GT-R Facelift Unveiled - Tokyo Motor Show 2013
In all the excitement surrounding the extreme variety Nissan GT-R Nismo we should not forget about the plain vanilla GT-R which the automaker has upgraded for the coming year.
While Nismo focused on improving the GT-R's performance on track, Nissan engineers have worked on making the regular GT-R a more balanced GT car all-round, which is now more comfortable during your trip to the grocery store, up a winding mountain pass or while cruising on the highway.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R gets comprehensive upgrades to the suspension system via mechanical tuning and active electronic tuning. Without going into the technicalities, they now perform optimally in all road surface conditions, provide improved grip during cornering and offer better stability in straight lines. All the improvements make for a safer and more comfortable ride.

Also part of the upgrade package are a new set of Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT standard tyres.

The brakes now provide more linear response and are firmer at everyday speeds. Also, the steering is now easier to handle at low speed driving in city.

Another major upgrade are the LED headlights, with Adaptive Front lighting System providing three different LED low beams including long-distance-illumination and wide-illumination.

The car has also been given a distinct design characteristics with four-ring tail light forming coherent circles of illumination, making it easier to recognize the car.

There's also a new Gold Flake Red Pearl to look forward to, featuring microscopic gold-tinted glass flakes which are infused into the red paint.

A new optional carbon fiber rear wing, that's lighter than the stock spoiler has also been introduced.

Moving on to the interior, it now comes in three colour schemes, including a new pale ivory trim option. The steering now comes covered in leather, while the part-aniline leather seats are further embellished with stitched accents for a more plush feel.

Improvements have also been done to reduce cabin noise at high speeds.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R goes on sale in Japan in December, while the rest of the world will get it from next year.
