Mercedes SLS AMG Final Edition Unveiled At Los Angeles Auto Show

This also makes the SLS AMG Final Edition a very special model whose value will only increase over time. Production of the last SLS AMG will be limited to only 350 units and will end by 2015. The Final Edition will then join its other versions from the last four years - the convertible, the GT, the Electric Drive, the Black Series, the GT3 and GT3 45th Anniversary SLS AMGs in the history books.

Mercedes will make 350 units of the SLS AMG and that includes the Coupe and the Roadster (soft top convertible) models.

The SLS AMG Final Edition is easily recognizable by its carbon-fiber like long hood, carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber rear wing and revised air intakes.

Merc will also provide the Final Edition with exclusive wheels which can be ordered in either matte black with high sheen spokes and rim flange or entirely matte black with high sheen rim flange.

The Wheels will be wrapped in exclusive Dunlop Sport Maxx Race Cup tyres - 265/35 R19 (front) and 295/30 R20 (rear).

Carbon fiber exterior mirror, engine covers, carbon ceramic brakes, and Bang & Olufsen BeoSound surround sound system are being provided as optional features.

The rear wing, the front splitter and an air outlet on the bonnet provide downforce to the front and rear axles, with the bonnet mounted air outlets performing the additional role of dissipating engine heat.

The seats wear diamond patterned Designo Exclusive leather in silver accent stitching, silver seat belts and black floor mats with silver leather on the edges.

Finally, each Mercedes SLS AMG Final Edition will wear a badge on the carbon fiber center console with the etching "AMG FINAL EDITION - 1 of 350"

Power still comes from the 6.3 liter AMG V8 engine producing 583 HP at 6,80 rpm and 650 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed sports transmission will take of power transfer.

0-100 km/h takes 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h 11.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 320 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition will be available from March 2014 in Europe with a starting price of €225,505 for the Coupe and €233,835 for the Roadster.
