Cars & Bikes To Be Launched In 2012 Auto Expo
Another important launch of the Auto Expo will be that of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The Ertiga is Maruti's response to the Toyota Innova. The Ertiga was first displayed as a concept vehicle with the name RII art the 2010 Auto Expo. The new MPV will be available with both petrol and diesel models. Maruti is also expected to display a concept SUV and a new car according to unconfirmed reports.
Hyundai, which recently unveiled the Eon small car is expected to unveil the LPG variants of the Eon and the i10. Peugeot and Citroen which have begun construction of their first car plant in India will also want to show some of their new cars.
Ford Motors is expected to its Ecosport SUV. The Ecosport is based on the new Fiesta's platform and will be Ford's first sub four-metre SUV. Expected to be priced between RS.7 lakhs and RS.9 lakhs, the Ecosport will be on sale early next year.
The 2012 Auto Expo will also see two wheeler brands making their presence felt. Yamaha is expected to launch its range of scooter during the show. Bajaj is planning to introduce its KTM range of vehicles and Mahindra wants to revive its motorcycle brand by unveiling a new model
Another important car for the Indian market will be the facelifted Tata Nano. Other highlights of the Auto Expo will be the super cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Maserati and Rolls-Royce.
