The Pagani Utopia - More Powerful & Lighter Than Huayra

Now, Mr Horacio Pagani has revealed his third-ever hypercar, the Pagani Utopia. The word 'Utopia' is coined by Sir Thomas More for his book Utopia - In which, he describes about a fictional island society in the New World with highly desirable qualities.

For starters, the Pagani Utopia hypercar took 6 years to develop and only 99 units will ever be built. However, all the 99 units have already been spoken for and if you still wish to buy one, you will have to show up at one of the owner's doorstep with an offer he/she can't resist.

That being said, the overall design of the Pagani Utopia hypercar is slightly less aggressive than the Pagani Huayra hypercar and ditches the aero flaps for a slightly refreshed nose section. However, the silhouette of the Pagani Utopia hypercar is quintessential 'Pagani' with a fluidic design that flows through the sides and ends at the rear.

Coming to the rear of the Pagani Utopia hypercar, the model retains the iconic rocket-style quad exhaust, and the fixed bridge spoiler connects the two rear wings. This gives the Pagani Utopia hypercar an overall evolutionary styling over the Pagani Huayra hypercar.

Moving to the interiors, the Pagani Utopia hypercar proves that cars can be classified as Art. The craftsmanship in the Pagani Utopia hypercar is unbelievable, users can spend hours admiring the beauty of everything put inside the cabin.

While the Pagani Utopia hypercar still retains the four circular AC vents like previous Pagani models, Mr Huracio Pagani's latest creation has ditched the mid-mounted infotainment unit for a few analogue gauges and buttons. However, the Pagani Utopia hypercar still retains the infotainment screen, but it is now positioned right in front of the driver - Between the speedometer and the tachometer.

Now, coming to the powertrain, the Pagani Utopia hypercar continues to draw its power from a Mercedes-AMG-sourced powerplant. This power unit is a 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V12 engine capable of producing 851.5bhp of power and 1,100 Nm of torque. Moreover, the Pagani Utopia hypercar comes with two transmission options - a 7-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed, single-clutch automatic transmission.

However, there are no hybrid systems in the Pagani Utopia hypercar. The only battery in the Pagani Utopia hypercar is the one used to power the starter motor for waking up the petrol-guzzling V12 engine.

Thanks to a combination of Carbo-Titanium centre structure, light weight carbon fibre bodywork, and chrome alloy subframes, the Pagani Utopia hypercar weighs just over 1280kg without any fluids.

Though the Pagani Utopia hypercar weighs a little more than a large hatchback, considering the speeds it can do, Pagani has thoughtfully given its third-ever hypercar a set of Brembo carbon-ceramic disc brakes. Other details include a pair of 21-inch forged alloy wheels at the front, and a pair of 22-inch forged alloy wheels at the rear.

Though Pagani is yet to reveal the performance figures of the Pagani Utopia hypercar, we expect the model to be a step above the Pagani Huayra hypercar.
