Yamaha R25 India Launch In 2015; Minor Changes Being Made
Yamaha R25 is a quarter liter sportsbike the Japanese two wheeler major is currently developing. The R25 was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show in November 2013 and was later brought to India for the Auto Expo 2014 in February.
Yamaha R25 is a performance motorcycle that has come to being specifically to cater to growing demand for small displacement sport bikes in emerging markets such as India and neighbouring countries.

Yamaha R25 is be powered by a 250cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected, parallel twin cylinder engine. Power & performance figures have not been made known.

What's great about the R25's design is the inspiration it takes from the Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP racer.

Yamaha R25's design is characterized by sharp tail section and a sharp looking front cowl. However, the production variant will receive changes to the front end and will also lose the Akrapovic silencers for a more conventional exhaust outlet.

What will be seen getting carried over to production are the rightside up front forks, rear monoshock suspension, large air intakes and single disc brakes on on both wheels.

Yamaha is said to be making minor changes to the R25 from its non-production form, as was seen on the show floor, before it is launched in India in 2015.
