Vespa S India Launch Date Confirmed As March 4
Vespa S (Sport), showcased for the first time in India at the Auto Expo 2014 has been officially confirmed for launch on March 4th. The Vespa S will be the Italian two wheeler brand's second scooter in India and will be priced above the Vespa VX 125.
Vespa VX 125 is priced at Rs 71,380 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Vespa S is expected to cost about Rs 4000 more. Vespa S shares the monocoque chassis and the 125 cc 10.06 PS/10.6 Nm torque engine with the LX & VX models, but offers a few other changes.

Vespa S gets rectangular headlamp and mirrors as against the round ones found on the existing model.

Though both models share the same alloy wheels, the Vespa S gets black powder coated ones. The S also comes with open pockets at the back of the front apron.

The instrument cluster on the Vespa S are also different from the ones found in the LX/VX model as seen in the image.

Vespa also says the S comes with seats that are more comfortable.
Next in line is the luxurious, hand built Vespa 946.
