The older version of the Honda CBR 250R sold in India. You can compare it with the new CBR 250R shown in the previous and the following slides.

A front look at the new CBR 250R shows the most visible change, which is the dual headlamp design.

While the older model's design, including that of the headlamp, was inspired by the VFR 1200F, the new model takes its cue from the CBR 500R. These changes are thus seen in the fairings and the rear of the motorcycle.

The chrome finished exhaust is the last visual change, which replaces the angular shaped silencer from the older model.

As for the engine, the same 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit continues to power the motorcycle, but it has been tuned to produce 29.4 horsepower (an increase of 3 HP) at 9,000 rpm and 23 Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The 6-speed gearbox has been given a new ratio to suit the modified engine.

Lastly, the new Honda has an increased wheelbase of 1,378mm (11mm increase) and weighs 3 kg less, at 164 kg.

The standard 2014 Honda CBR 250R is priced at 48.95 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 2.52 lakh), while the ABS version costs 57.95 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 2.98 lakh).
