KTM Duke 390 Launched; Introductory Price INR 1.8L

Perhaps the most anticipated performance bike launch in India, KTM Duke 390 has at last officially arrived. KTM has managed to not to disappoint the Indian biking enthusiasts by keeping the price of the Duke 390 extremely competitive. The Duke 390 has an introductory price of INR 1.8 lakhs. (ex-showroom). Expected on-road price in Bangalore should be approximately INR 2.03 lakhs. Buyers will also be pleased to know that KTM is offering ABS as standard.

By this time we are pretty sure everyone knows the performance figures of the Duke 390. But just in case, here is a quick refresh about the pocket rocket's specs. The bike is powered by a 373.2 cc, single cylinder, four stroke, liquid cooled engine. The bike delivers 43.5 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 35 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM.

A dry weight of just 145kg means the bike has an impressive power to weight ratio of 316.5 PS/tonne. In fact, it is the best offered by any bike in its segment. Standard on the Duke 390 will be the grippy Metzeler Sportec M5 tyres. Considering that the bike can go from a standstill to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 160km/h we should be glad KTM decided to replace the MRF units found in the Duke 200.

As with most two wheeler launches, bookings for the Duke 390 will begin from June 26.
