KTM Duke 390 Launch Date Confirmed
It's confirmed. After eight months of waiting Indian bike enthusiasts will finally get the KTM Duke 390 on June 25th, a Tuesday, which is exactly two weeks from today. The confirmation came late yesterday, in the form of a wallpaper on KTM's facebook page, which you can see for yourself in the gallery below.
Last month KTM hosted an international press event in Austria where several Indian auto journos got a chance to experience the KTM Duke 390 for the first time. Everyone had one thing in common to say about the bike. That it is a raging bull. KTM Duke 390 is not the most forgiving of motorcycles. This means it is best handled by an experienced rider an a strict no-no for a first timer.
The KTM Duke 390 is powered by a 373 cc engine that will deliver 43 HP and 35 Nm of torque. Apart from the larger engine the Duke 390 will also get Metzeler tyres instead of the MRF one found in the Duke 200. Metzeler tyres are a lot grippier, essential, considering the bike's higher performance. Also expect ABS to come as an option. Price will only be revealed upon launch day, which is expected to be in the vicinity of INR 2.0 lakhs (ex-showroom).
