Kawasaki Versys 1000 Bookings Commence In India
Japanese two-wheeler giant Kawasaki has a strong presence in India with help from Bajaj Auto. They have recently launched their Z250 and ER-6N in India. They have a wide range of products on offer from their Ninja and Z portfolio of motorcycles.
Kawasaki India will be soon launching their Versys model, however, they have commenced bookings prior to launch. They will be introducing Indian to the Versys 1000, it is expected to be launched by November end and deliveries will begin post its launch.
The Versys 1000 by Kawasaki can be booked for a token amount of INR 6,00,000. It will come to Indian shores as a Completely Built Unit. So we can expect a price tag of INR 12,00,000 to INR 14,50,000 ex-showroom.
Kawasaki will provide its Versys 1000 with an inline four 1,043cc, liquid cooled engine. It will be tuned to produce 120.28 horsepower, along with 102 Nm of peak torque output. It will be paired to a 6-speed slick gearbox, KTRC traction control and improved mapping for performance.
India will be getting the updated Versys 1000, which was showcased at 2014 EICMA motorcycle show. Kawasaki has redesigned their adventurer tourer. It gets dual headlamps,adjustable windscreen and aggressively designed body.
Kawasaki has not confirmed whether their Versys 1000 will be offered with ABS or not. The colour options too have not been disclosed, however, it is most likely they will offer black and their lime green paint scheme.
